Walter J. Hunziker, Jr. focuses his practice in the area of estate planning and administration, elder law and real property. A third generation lawyer in the Paterson and North Jersey area, he has over 40 years' experience in counseling clients. During that period he has formulated over 500 estate plans. Born and raised in Paterson, Mr. Hunziker is a graduate from the College High School in Montclair, Amherst College and Yale Law School, and has a degree of Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University. He served in the Navy as an Air Intelligence Officer. During his professional career Mr. Hunziker has devoted himself to a range of community activities, and remains a trustee and officer of the Passaic County Legal Aid Society. He served for 21 years as Chair of the Montclair Township Planning Board, 5 years as President of the Hamilton Club in Paterson, and for 2 years as Chair of the New Jersey Supreme Court's District Committee on Professional Ethics. He has received various awards and recognitions, including in 1996 the Legacy Award of the William Paterson University Foundation for his public contributions.
